Fellini closes: Bad Nauheim loses a popular café!

The "Fellini" restaurant in Bad Nauheim will close on January 31, 2025, as the owner Pasquale Albergamo announced. Farewell to the popular restaurant is perceived as a big loss for the city because it was a popular meeting place for guests of all ages. Albergamo currently sees no perspective for the café, since the rental contract expires at the end of 2025 and gastronomy in the house is no longer desirable.

Albergamo, who lives above the café, has employed around 30 employees, about half of whom is fixed. He has already issued 30 layoffs. Owner Albergamo took over the premises in 2010, at that time from Blumenhaus Dorothee Powilleit, and invested six digits in the interior, which he put together. Around 80 percent of the interior have already been sold. In February and March it will be forced to rebuild everything, including the kitchen and interior.

Fellini as a cultural meeting point

The closure of the "Fellini" is viewed by many as a loss for the community. Albergamo regrets that he could not hand over the restaurant to a successor and plans to travel between Bad Nauheim, Sicily and other places. He describes his morning rituals in the café as a silent, wonderful moments. The Sphinx, the restaurant's mascot, is brought back to the Max Planck Institute. Albergamo leaves the opportunity to revive the "Fellini" at another location if suitable rooms are available.

like fnp.de reported, the closure of the "Fellini" will disappoint many loyalty. There will be no second “Fellini” in Bad Nauheim, which further tightens the situation. Albergamo mentions that he will always remember the wonderful time in the café.

More details on the closure and the background provides Sonntag-morgenmagazin.eu Café describes as a meeting place that Albergamo wanted to create. The decision to close it was not easy for him, but he sees no way out.
