Children's bazaar in Bad Vilbel: Successful donations for youth welfare!
in Bad Vilbel, the children's and youth bazaars recently took place in the cultural and sports forum, which were organized by the parents' initiative at the Georg-Büchner-Gymnasium. Miriam Kanne, Helena Kiesner, Claudia Schwarz and Katharina Wiegand were responsible for the event. A positive balance can be drawn after two bazaars. Half of the revenue achieved is donated to the school's support association and, among other things, to a non -profit organization, the "Möwe Jonathan - Jugendhilfe with heart". The donation to the association is 600 euros.
The schedule with the flow market of all Vilbeler schools was a challenge. The donation was handed over to the Dortelweiler Brunnen Center, where the chairwoman of the support association, Susanne Reichert, and colleague Jörg Gettke were present. The support association is financed by membership fees and external donations. The next bazaars are planned on February 9, 2025 and on August 31, 2025, in which toys, clothing and many other things about the child are offered, as reported in [fnp.de]
Information on further activities
In addition to the bazaars, another bazaar took place on September 22, 2024 in the cultural and sports forum, also organized by the parents' initiative. Half of the proceeds of 600 euros were donated to the "Möwe Jonathan - youth welfare with heart". In the past, information about the work of the support association was provided at the open day on November 23, 2024.
Thanks to a funding measure by the Hessian State Chancellery, a “Judaica case” was purchased for religious and ethics lessons. The feedback on the use of this case was positive. In addition, the school festival of the Georg Büchner-Gymnasium took place on the penultimate day of school before the summer holidays, where the donation handover from the income was carried out to various social and non-profit institutions. The association, which now has over 400 members, also received a donation of 2,645.86 euros.
The commitment of the support association can also be seen in other activities such as a lecture on learning strategies, the implementation of a schooling ceremony for new fifth graders and a summer festival, in which the Georg Büchner Prize for 2023 was awarded to the circus KRAWUMM and for 2024, as described [Foerderverein-GBG-BV.de]
