Tennis start 2025: Bad Dürkheim and Haßloch in competition fever!

The first tennis climax of the year took place on January 5, 2025: the DTB-open indoor ranking tournament of the Palatinate Tennis Association in Bad Dürkheim and Haßloch. Tournament director Thomas Dreher praised the smooth cooperation between the two locations and the increased interest in the tournament. The players in Haßloch in particular fought for the women, while in Bad Dürkheim mainly men competed.

A special focus was on Anne Zehetgruber, the only former winner (2022) in the women's field, which currently ranked 252 in the German ranking. The tournament attracted numerous regional players, which was reflected in the increased number of participants: 37 players took part in the men and 28 players in the women, compared to 14 men and 23 women in the previous year. Participants also came from cities such as Mannheim, Mainz and Speyer.
