On March 13, 2025, the police in Büdingen were informed about the disappearance of the 78-year-old Herbert Schermesser from Ortenberg-Selter. The former resident of an old people's home left the facility in the morning and did not return. Mr. Schermesser is demented and not oriented, but good on foot. His physical description is: about 173 cm tall, slim with gray short hair. He was dressed in blue jeans, a dark blue quilted jacket and a peaked cap.
