Rescue swimmers in training: Successful examination for the Wetteraukreis!

In a crucial step towards strengthening swimming skills in the Wetterau, seven honorary and full-time people from various associations and municipalities took part in bronze on an intensive weekend for life-sophisticated training. This training was organized by the youth work and youth court assistance department in cooperation with the DLRG Friedberg/Bad Nauheim. Marlies Krell-Moder, who has over 40 years of experience at DLRG Friedberg/Bad Nauheim, led both the theoretical and practical training.

The training content included important topics such as rescue techniques, liberation handles, first aid, breathing and blood circulation as well as diving and clothing swimming. The main goal of this training measure was to improve the swimming skills of children, which suffered particularly from the loss of teaching. Participants came from different regions, including youth care 4.0 from Florstadt, Reichelsheim, Echzell and Wölfersheim, as well as from Bad Vilbel, Büdingen, the children's farm Jimbala in Friedberg and the youth work from Altenstadt.

a successful degree

After three days full of intensive training in the youth hostel Bad Homburg and practical exercises in Taunabad Oberursel, all participants successfully passed both the theoretical and the practical exam. The group showed extraordinary commitment, brought their own ideas and experiences and exchanged itself beyond the seminar times. The knowledge that the participants achieved now benefits the children and young people in the Wetteraukreis.

The acquisition of swimming badges, such as the German swimming badge in bronze, not only shows a certain ability and knowledge in swimming, but also plays a crucial role in the water safety. According to the guidelines of the DLRG, it is no longer raining between youth swimming badge and swimming badge, since January 1, 2020. These badges, which include bronze, silver and gold, are an important evidence of safe swimming, regardless of the age of the swimmer.

outlook for future offers

Due to the great interest and the successful training, further courses for obtaining the lifeguard badge are already being planned for the coming year. Interested parties can inquire about the youth work and youth court assistance department and learn more about the possibilities. This ensures that children in the region are promoted and their safety in the water is guaranteed.

The training and the associated measures are a significant step to improve swimming skills in the Wetteraukreis, as reports [Wetterau.news]. The DLRG also emphasizes that the habituation of water before purchasing the swimming badge is of crucial importance in order to ensure the security of swimming, as is explained in the information on the [DLRG] training.
