Solemn sounds: 20 years of church music support association in Schotten!
On February 10, 2025, the church music association celebrated an important anniversary in the city and region of Schotten in the Liebfrauenkirche: 20 years of committed work to promote church music activities. A choir of around 30 singers took part in this festive occasion, including the Gospel Choir Father’s Children and the Kantorei. Under the direction of Kantor Kiwon Lee, who has been working in Schotten since 2008, a variety of musical performances have been presented.
Katja Berdan-Repp, the deputy chairman of the association, accompanied the event, while the trombone choir could not take part due to an overlap of the appointment. Nevertheless, the event was enriched by the presence of further musical groups, including the popular children's choir "Singmäuse", which consists of four to six-year-old children. The flute circle and a youth choir of young people also contributed to the musical diversity of the festival.
