Jazz evening in Ortenberg: International Trio inspires on April 11th!

The popular "International Trio" returns to Ortenberg and promises an unforgettable jazz concert. On Friday, April 11, 2025, the "caro cellar" will become the setting for first-class jazz sounds from 8 p.m. The occupation of the trio consists of loyal members and a special guest who will enrich the event.

In the main line -up, Trevor Richards play on drums, Thomas L’Etienne on the clarinet and Harry Kanters on the piano. As a "Special Guest", the renowned saxophonist Olivier Franc, son of the legendary René Franc, will be on stage. Richards, an Englishman and student of the famous Zutty Singleton, founded the "Trevor Richards New Orleans Trio" in Europe in 1972. L’Etienne, born in Hamburg in 1956, brings his experience from New Orleans and was previously a member of the band of Lillian Boutté. Kanters, who comes from Breda in the Netherlands, has been there since the beginning of the "International Trio" and specializes in jazz piano.

The trio will present classic jazz compositions from New Orleans and Harlem, whereby the special style of Olivier Franc, who is known for his Bechet interpretations, is rounded off. Franc is not only a master of his field, but also the bearer of the Prix Sidney Bechet.
