Construction site chaos in Wiesbaden: full closure of the Carl-von-Linde-Straße!

From Monday, April 7, 2025, Carl-von-Linde-Straße in Wiesbaden will be fully closed for about one month. The reason for this measure is comprehensive civil engineering work to renew a water pipe that is carried out on behalf of Hessenwasser GmbH. The full closure affects the entrance to the Carl-von-Linde-Straße and the entrances and trips to Holzstraße, which will lead to significant restrictions on vehicle and bike traffic. The work is expected to be completed by May 8, 2025, reports the city of Wiesbaden on its official page.

In addition, only one lane per direction will be available in the Dotzheimer Straße/Wiesbadener Straße/Ludwig-Erhard-Straße. This will also affect the traffic conditions, and the city expects high backlogs, especially from Wednesday, April 2, when the renovation measures for traffic management begin in this area.

diversions and pedestrian security

The city of Wiesbaden has set alternative routes for vehicle traffic. A bypass via Schönbergstraße and Wiesbadener Straße is recommended. Daimlerstraße and Flachstrasse are available as diversion routes for the city -consuming direction. Pedestrians, on the other hand, can use their usual paths without restrictions. Despite the inevitable traffic disruptions, the city asks for understanding and patience among the residents and road users.

An important element of traffic planning in Wiesbaden are over 5,000 construction sites that are implemented in the city every year. For a detailed overview of the construction sites, the city has published a card on its website, which can be called up at wiesbaden.de/ Baustellen. Users can consult the ESWE Verkehr website at ESWE-VERSON.de for information on bus ducts.

For citizen questions, the town hall's telephone headquarters are available under number (0611) 310. The city administration thanks for understanding the population during the retraining of traffic management.
