The topic of missing person status is treated in a comprehensive manner in German. One person is considered missing if they are inexplicably absent and a danger to life or life is accepted. In principle, adults have the right to choose their whereabouts without notification, as long as there is no risk. However, this is not the case with missing minors, since a fundamentally existing risk is assumed.
