Information about the transfer: Gymnasium Neustadt invites you!
The transition from primary school to high school is an important step for many parents and children. This takes the Neustadt grammar school on the Waldnaab as an opportunity to organize an information evening. On 2. April 2025 the event will begin at 5.30 p.m. . The aim is to give interested families an insight into the school events and the various school branches. While the parents go through a separate program, the children will explore different stations in the school building on a tour of a tour.
The programs are specially tailored to the needs of parents and children. The parent program includes tours through the school building, supplemented by detailed information on the transition and the various offers of the school. The children, on the other hand, are guided through stations that give them a direct impression of school life. The Neustadt grammar school would like to cordially invite all interested parents and children.
insights in the trial day
Already in the March 2023 there was a trial day at the Hochfranken-Gymnasium, which was very well received. Almost 60 children and their parents took part. The event began with a warm welcome by the Rhythm-AG and the lower level choir under the direction of Ms. Hilpert. For the parents there were numerous information offers provided by the school management, the advisory team and the parents' advisory board.
The children were celebrated by tutors at a total of eight different stations . These included:
- animal room
- Mini programming workshop in the computer room (topic: "scratch")
- mathematics and physics with experiments and 3D printer in the physics hall
- microscopy and chemical experiments
- Language games in English and French
- tinkering bookmarks in German lessons with Ms. Müller
- sports offer in the sports hall
- Instrument construction and group improvisation on the subject of “weather” in art and music
parents had the opportunity to visit class and specialist rooms and ask numerous questions. The students of the Hochfranken-Gymnasium warmly welcomed the new guests, while the parents' advisory board took care of the physical well-being. The mood and feedback from the participants were consistently positive, which made the trial day a successful experience.
Both events-both the upcoming information evening at the Neustadt high school and the review of the trial day at the Hochfranken-Gymnasium-illustrate the commitment of schools, parents and children comprehensively in the transition process. Information about further events can be found at this link
