Annual general meeting of the Salmünster fire brigade: A look at 2024!
On March 15, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Salmünster volunteer fire brigade took place in the fire station. Over 50 members took part in the meeting, which started at 7 p.m. and lasted until 9:20 p.m. Chairman Manfred Kleinert welcomed the guests of honor, including Mayor Dominik Brasch, first city councilor Birgit Enders-Jacob and city fire inspector Jens Bannert, to name just a few. The secretary Manuela Schlegelmilch read the minutes of the last annual general meeting, followed by reports on the activities of the fire brigade.
The meeting addressed the support of fire work by the community. Special events, such as the spring festival and the Advent market, were emphasized. In addition, the Salmünster fire brigade celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025, which already ensures a lot of anticipation.
Current number of members and operations
The fire brigade Salmünster currently has 45 active emergency services, including four women. This represents a decline of three members compared to the previous year. The age department comprises 11 members, while 17 young people, including 12 boys and 5 girls, belong to the youth fire brigade. The youth fire brigade recorded an increase of seven members last year.
In 2024 there were a total of 84 missions that took a total of 2,065 hours of operation. This is the number of missions above the previous year, in which 59 missions were recorded. Compared to previous years, there was an increase in activities this year, which underpins the forward -looking planning and operational readiness of the fire brigade.
training and competitions
An important part of fire work is the training. A total of 1,845 training hours were worked. Various courses, such as the group leader course and the train driver course, were carried out successfully. The fire brigade also took part in several competitions and shone with remarkable results:

In addition, participation in the JF camp in Oberwildflecken as well as the BF day with AHL and the Florianstag in Oberzell took place. The children's fire brigade, which was founded in Ilmmünster, already has 32 children and enjoyed great popularity, but was not part of this meeting in Salmünster.
In conclusion, Christl Scholz was able to present a positive cash report, followed by the report by the cash auditors. The entire board was unanimously released. There were also promotions: Nick Hof was appointed chief firefighter and Bianca Korn as the main fire brigade. Manfred Kleinert also entered the honor and age department.The greetings from Mayor Brasch and the deputy city fire inspector Frank Seidl underlined the importance and the support that the fire brigade enjoys in the community. With this solid foundation, the Salmünster volunteer fire brigade is optimistic about the upcoming anniversary events from May 16 to 18, 2025.
