Jubilee magic: Limburg monastery ruins celebrates 1,000 years of history!

Bad Dürkheim celebrates a remarkable anniversary: ​​the Limburg monastery ruin, an outstanding monument and cultural symbol of the region, looks back on a history of over 1,000 years. This special event will be recognized on May 17 and 18, 2025 with a number of celebrations. The mayor of Bad Dürkheim, Natalie Bauerschmitt, emphasized the importance of this event for the city and its citizens, which have been shaped by the presence of this historical building for centuries.

The festivities include a virtual exhibition that is already available online, as well as lectures and special guided tours. Entry to the events on May 17th and 18th is free. To facilitate access, limited parking facilities are available, and a shuttle bus runs between the station forecourt and the sausage market. Visitors are recommended to use public transport to get to the Limburg monastery ruin.
