Kai Schöttler is fighting for the mayor's office in Marienmünster!

On September 14, 2025, the local elections in Marienmünster are pending, and the political landscape is already taking forms. The focus is particularly on Kai Schöttler, who is again running for the office of mayor. In the last election five years ago, Schöttler lost to his opponent Josef Suermann, who won 55.55 percent of the vote. Schöttler received 44.45 percent and was able to record 86.4 percent of the votes in his home town of Altenbergen. For personal reasons, Suermann does not start again, which gives Schöttler the opportunity to be the first candidate for the smallest community in the Höxter district for the top position in the town hall. This information was presented by Westfalen Blatt

In a recently held general meeting in Altenbergen, Schöttler was elected CDU candidate for mayor with over 96 percent. He presented his program points and concerns and praised the willingness of the other candidates to get involved politically. Thomas Johlen was nominated as a candidate for the district council from Born. The following candidates were elected for the ten constituencies of the city of Marienmünster:

electoral district
candidate
Election district 1 (Altenbergen) Klaus-Peter Gosse
Election district 2 (Bredenborn 1) Dominik Jäger
Election district 3 (Bredenborn 2) Hermann Müller
Election district 4 (Bredenborn 3) Uwe Bickmann
Election district 5 (Kollerbeck 1, Born, Münsterbrock) Joseph Büker
Election district 6 (Kollerbeck 2, Papenhöfe) Elmar Krüger
Election district 7 (Löwendorf, Hohehaus, Bremerberg) Stefan Köhne
Election district 8 (Vörden 1, Großebreden, Kleinenbrönen) Stefan Grönen
Election district 9 (Vörden 2, urgent verse) Mathias Schmidt
Election district 10 (Vörden 3) Marcus Kaiser

Kai Schöttler's visions

Schöttler's goal is to promote a citizen -related and unbureaucratic development of the city of Marienmünster. He sees the need for a younger candidate for the mayor's office, which Joseph Büker emphasized during the meeting. This shows the change that the community strives for. Schöttler appealed to all team members to work committed to the community.

The local elections are far from being a mayoral election. On September 14th, district council members will also be elected in all counties and city council members in numerous cities. This should strengthen local democracy and involve the citizens in the decision-making process, as explained by dStGB . Schöttler's commitment and his focus on the proximity to the citizen are part of these comprehensive efforts.
