Carnival spectacle in Düsseldorf: tradition, celebrities and stage magic!
On February 2, 2025, the Prince's Guard Düsseldorf experienced its large costume session, which delighted with an impressive Renaissance flair. The event attracted numerous prominent guests, including Peter König, the owner of the "Füchschen" brewery and honorary president of the Guard, as well as Janine Kemmer, the vice president of the Düsseldorfer Karneval e.V.
A highlight of the session was the appearance of the belly speaker Klaus, who made numerous laughs with his doll Willi. In addition, the dance groups Kakaju and TC Fiedele sandpipes presented spectacular show dances, while musical acts such as Rabbaue, Räuber, Bigmaggas, the rhythm group and the swinging funfares created a good atmosphere. This combination of humor, dance and music made sure that the event lasted more than five hours and ended in an exuberant after-show party.
tradition and honors
A particularly solemn moment was the traditional handover of the order to the Düsseldorf prince couple. This year the Prince's Guard Order was presented in the form of an oversized cake, which was made in cooperation with the Hinkel bakery. This handover was handed over for the twelfth time in a row and was a sign of durability and tradition in the Düsseldorf carnival.
Already a month before Rose Monday, the order of the carnival clubs for the Rosenmontagszug in Düsseldorf was announced. This draw, carried out by Venetia Melanie, the Düsseldorf prince couple, ensures that the participating clubs are divided into the front, medium and rear train parts. In order to ensure the same visibility to the carnival associations during television broadcasts, the wagon series is redefined annually. However, fixed places on the train are not affected by this draw.

The Düsseldorf vigilante 1892 leads the Rosenmontagszug, while the Rheinische Garde Blau-Weiss e. V. 1968 formed. The wagon series for the Rose Monday parade 2024 is as follows:

The Düsseldorf Carnival has a special motto this year: "200 Johr - Hütt on how et what". It starts on November 11th with the traditional start when Hoppeditz jumps out of the mustard pot at 11:11 a.m. and gives a satirical speech about urban events and the mayor. Important event data include the Old Women Sunday on February 27, 2025 and the Great Rosenmontagszug on March 3, 2025, which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors with his political-satirical theme car from Jacques Tilly. The carnival will end with a large farewell party on Veilchendienstag, March 4, 2025.
