Kiev organ trio: Charter concerts for Ukrainian musicians in Celle!

On March 11, 2025, the Kiev organ trio announced a number of remarkable concerts that will take place in the coming weeks. On Saturday, March 29, at 5 p.m., the musicians will give a concert in the Johanneskirche in Celle, Steindamm 16. A second concert will follow on Friday, April 4, at 6 p.m. in the church of Celle-Neustadt, Neustadt 75. However, donations are requested to support Ukrainian musicians. These events are not only musical highlights, but also a sign of solidarity with the suffering music world of Ukraine.

The occupation of the Kiev organ trio consists of violinists Oksana Popsuy and Nataliia Vasylieva and the organist Professor Ortwin Benninghoff, who also takes over the management. A special guest of the concert is Olexandr Traino, a member of the "National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine" since 2016. Traino has now received permission to leave Ukraine in early 2025, which enables his participation in these concerts.

program and focus

The program is entitled "Bridge Slits" and focuses on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. It should not only offer the audience a sound experience, but also raise awareness of Ukrainian culture, which has been threatened by war in Ukraine in recent years. On February 24, 2022, the war began, which drew global attention to the music culture of Ukraine.

The aggressors not only destroyed the physical habitats, but also tried to undermine the cultural heritage of Ukraine. But while fighting on the front, artists make an important contribution to the fight for peace and cultural identity. Sounds of Ukraine is a festival that gives an insight into the Ukrainian music tradition and shows the modern musical portrait of the nation. All concerts of the festival are also benefit events and aim to raise awareness of Ukrainian music culture in Europe.

other concerts

Before that, the Kiev organ trio will give a concert in the St. Laurentius Church in Müden/Örtze, Alte Dorfstraße on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Here, too, the focus is on the same musical works, led by Professor Ortwin Benninghoff. The commitment of this talented musician is an important contribution to the preservation and promotion of Ukrainian culture in a difficult global context.

The upcoming concerts offer a valuable opportunity to directly experience and support the Ukrainian music culture. The Kiev organ trio and its guests cordially invite all music lovers to show their solidarity and to share the sounds of an estimated culture. Their commitment is an essential part of the collective endeavor to keep the cultural heritage of Ukraine alive even in difficult times. These events are much more than just musical performances - they are a statement for peace, freedom and the power of music.
