Coalition negotiations: CDU, CSU and SPD set clear priorities!
On March 8, 2025, Gordon Schnieder, the CDU state and parliamentary group leader in Rhineland-Palatinate, welcomed the exploratory results of the CDU, CSU and SPD. After two weeks of intensive discussions, there is now a basis for the upcoming coalition negotiations. The focus was on central topics such as migration policy, social policy and economic relief.
The exploratory has provided specific measures. In migration policy, irregular migrants are to be limited more and to accelerate repatriations. Schnieder also announced the termination of voluntary entrance programs. At the same time, a new basic security with the aim of strengthening the job was presented instead of the previous citizen benefit.
economic relief in the focus
An essential part of the agreements are economic relief for companies. This includes reducing energy costs and comprehensive tax reform. The permanent reduction in VAT for gastronomy at seven percent was particularly emphasized. In addition, the Agrardiesel Refundation is to be reintroduced to support farmers.
The exploratory paper includes eleven pages with detailed information on various subject areas. The plans provide a reduction in electricity tax to the EU minimum value, so that a relief of at least five cents per kilowatt hour can be realized. Purchase incentives are also introduced for electric cars to increase demand.
social policy measures and equality
In social policy, a target of 15 euros minimum wage was defined by 2026. Furthermore, tax -free relaxation of up to 2,000 euros for pensioners and an expansion of the mother's pension are planned. The reform of the citizens' benefit is also viewed critically, since a complete deprivation of benefits is sought in the repeated refusal.
The social initiatives also include a comprehensive nursing reform. In view of the current social challenges, the introduction of a weekly maximum working time and the offer of tax -free surcharges for overtime are discussed. In this context, gender equality is also important. Women, especially those on the run, are often restricted in their rights, which makes the use of civil society organizations such as UN Women necessary to promote gender equality. Elke Ferner, the CEO of UN Women Germany, emphasizes the urgency of this topic.
sustainability and infrastructure
Another central aspect of the exploratory results refers to climate protection and the creation of key markets for climate -neutral products. The goal is to consistently observe the climate goals. In addition, a special fund is aimed at 500 billion euros for ten years to invest in various infrastructure projects and thus strengthen the economic basis.
In summary, the probing presents a comprehensive agenda that combines both social and economic aspects with a clear socio -political approach. The next step is now the coalition negotiations in which the parties will build on these results.
Further information and details on the exploratory results can be found in the reports from mrn news and Tagesschau
