Bodily harm rise: Haßloch fights against violence!

In 2024, the Haßloch police inspection recorded a maximum of assault with 208 registered cases. This alarming number reflects a clear increase in violent crime in the region, as the current police crime statistics 2024 shows. All over Germany, violent crime has risen to the highest level since 2007, with an increase of 1.5 % to a total of 217,277 cases. This development contrasts with a slight decline in total crime by 1.7 % to 5,837,445 crimes, which is primarily due to the cannabis partialization layer, which resulted in significant declines in drug crime, according to the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA).

Despite the negative trend in violent crime, the crime statistics for Haßloch also show a decline in bicycle thefts and an increase in "other crimes". This indicates a complex image of the security situation that reflects various developments within society.

increasing numbers in violent crime

The focus of violent crime is also clearly recognizable in the nationwide statistics. In this way, the numbers for assault and sexual offenses increased considerably. Sexual offenses in particular increased by 9.3 %, while insults rose by 5.8 % and crimes against personal freedom by 5.3 %. In cities, concern for the feeling of security of the citizens is growing, since non -German suspects in this context recorded an increase of 7.5 % to a total of 85,012 cases, which is 41.8 % of all suspects in Germany.

In the special case of the Haßloch police inspection, it is particularly worrying that the increase in assault causes the citizens. In this light it becomes clear that despite general improvements in certain crime statistics, the violence attacks can represent a highly stressful factor for society.

a differentiated picture of crime

In parallel to these developments, the police crime statistics in 2024 also show that the educational rate in Germany is around 58 %, which means that a significant part of a total of 3,385,919 registered cases has been clarified. However, this should not hide the increasing numbers. Important new data, such as those on knife attacks, show that 29,014 such attacks were registered in 54.3 % of cases related to violent crime.

In summary, it can be stated that the uncertain situation in many cities, not least because of the increase in bodily harm, rejects public debate on security and prevention. The police, which in many cases are faced with more violence, faces the challenge of countering this growing violence with preventive and reactive measures. A comprehensive image of crime is expected by dark field studies at the latest in 2025, which should provide further knowledge in order to better understand the complexity of the security situation.
