Kunstverein Mülheim surprised: Colorful encounters shape the year 2024!

On March 23, 2025, the Mülheimer Kunstverein KKRR will start a new annual topic entitled "Encounters". This was decided at a general meeting and is to be thematically accompanied by a variety of events until the end of the year. The events will take place at Ruhrstraße 3, corner of Delle in Mülheim, a place that can easily be reached by public transport from the city center. Navigation to Delle 54 is planned for drivers. Entry to all events is free, and interested parties can book your desired dates online, such as muelheim-ruhr.de reports.

The logo that accompanies the annual topic "Encounters" was designed by the designer Klaus Wiesel. It shows colorful, crossing lines that symbolize the diversity and emotions of people. These lines stand not only for different cultures and ways of life, but also for the challenges and joys that arise in encounters. Significant moments of exchange and learning are embodied by the crossing points of the lines. The presentation is interpreted as a network that addresses the connections between people and conveys a message of openness and cohesion.

The art year in Mülheim

The art year 2023 in Mülheim was in the sign of the “Europe” main topic. After completing these activities, the KRKRR KRKR has passed the new annual topic for 2024 together with the Kunstförderverein Rhein-Ruhr. From now on, suggestions from artists and artists from the Rhein-Ruhr region are accepted. The interested parties are invited to submit creative ideas by email to info@kunststadt-mh.de. A committed team of exhibition makers is already planning a comprehensive art program for 2024 and will further emphasize the diversity of the encounters in this context, such as Lokalkompass.de

The Mülheimer Kunstverein KKRR was founded during the Capital of Culture Ruhr.2010 to promote art in the Rhein-Ruhr region. A remarkable concern is the Ruhrkunsthalle, which was built as a modern artist house with a gallery and private museum near the inner city park "Ruhranze". The association is closely connected to the Kunstmuseum Mülheim an der Ruhr and offers numerous programs for its members, including guided tours, lectures and also creative activities for children.
