On May 9, 2025, the inclusion team of SC Krefeld 05 shows a new face after it received 22 new hand balls for the upcoming training sessions. The ceremonial handover took place at Kyocera in Meerbusch and was made possible by collaboration by everyone involved.

This generous donation was organized as part of a campaign during a handball game between HSG Krefeld Niederrhein and VTV Mundenheim in 1883. The sponsors Kyocera and Schröter Managed Services made a decisive contribution to providing the new balls. Both companies not only committed themselves to the game day sponsors in the Krefeld Glockenspitzhalle, but also have the sports spirit as well as social responsibility.

commitment to inclusion and diversity

kyocera, a signatories of the Charter der Diversity , with this initiative confirms his commitment to an appreciative work environment and an inclusive culture. At a time when in many countries, including Germany, more intensively discussed about diversity in the world of work, it is important that companies are significantly involved. The example of Kyocera shows how economy and sport can work together to promote social values.

The Charter of Diversity is committed to considering diversity as a attitude for a fair, respectful and future -proof working world. The latest developments show that companies such as the Arsipa Group, which recently joined the Charter, take their responsibility for security, health and an appreciative corporate culture seriously. This increasing sensitivity is important to understand the importance of diversity in all areas of life.

Intersectionality in sport

In the context of sport, the need to take into account the intersectionality. People often have several identity categories that shape their experiences. This requires increased awareness of the various needs and obstacles from sports clubs that can make access to sport difficult. The dialogue and the exchange with those affected are crucial to understand the situation of marginalized groups and take measures.

Intersectional projects such as the awesome project or the multi-fold tour are examples of how to increase accessibility for everyone. In order to achieve these goals, it is important to continuously evaluate and adapt the needs of the different target groups. Small adjustments can often be crucial for whether someone can participate in an offer or not.

The approach to promote diversity in sports and association work has the potential not only to increase the participation of people, but also to enrich the entire environment. It is of central importance to recognize the diversity dimensions in order to make sport accessible and inviting.
