Almond Flower Festival 2025: A festival for the senses in Gimmeldingen!

The countdown for this year's Mandelblütenfest in Gimmeldingen has started. The festival is planned for the weekends from 21st to 23rd and 28th to 30th March 2025. The preparations are made under the roof of a festival committee, which consists of representatives of the city administration, the local winemaker and the Gimmeldinger community.

The festival is not only a highlight for locals, but also a magnet for tourists who want to enjoy the breathtaking blooms of the almond trees. Every year the almond blossom also marks the start of the Palatinate wine festival season and attracts numerous visitors.

The event extends along the Mandelmeile where 21 are opened. Visitors can taste the region's delicious wines while strolling through the lively atmosphere. The opening times of the serving points are from Wednesday, March 19 to Thursday, April 3., on Mondays to Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

A special highlight is the almond photo panoramic path , which is not only known for its picturesque backdrop, but also offers breathtaking views of the Rhine plain and the Hambacher Castle. The festival mile runs through Neubergstrasse, Peter-Koch-Straße and Kurpfalzstraße, where the local wineries open their bouquet economies.

Visitors are encouraged to plan the journey by public transport. The city of Neustadt has four train stations that enable a comfortable journey to the almond blossom. At the weekend there is a shuttle bus that connects the main train station with Gimmeldingen-every 10 minutes. Parking in four different areas costs less than five euros.

For optimal preparation, guided tours are also offered to the most beautiful almond trees that start every Wednesday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interested parties can get information about the tours in a flyer in advance.
