Dino Zimmermann, a 50-year-old teacher from Neunkirchen, has established himself as a leading expert in the Korean sword fight Haidong Gumdo. His passion for this martial art is reflected in the way he leads and motivates his students. Zimmermann heads the Haidong Gumdo interest group and meets his athletes regularly in the Don Bosco gymnasium.

The training hours take place twice a week and last two and a half hours. The commands are given in Korean, while the participants carry out fast shadow struggles with a 1.2 kg and 1.10 m long sword. The happy hiss in the gym testifies to the intensity and dynamics of the training. Many of the students show commitment that pays off in their long training; The age group ranges from 9 to 63 years, and some have been training for over ten years.
