On Saturday, January 4, 2025, in Kassel, in the Rothenditmold district, a jeweler (58 years old) was victim to a violent robbery by four masked men. Burglary and threats from firearms led to a dramatic situation for the jeweler and his family.

The perpetrators violently penetrated the jeweler's apartment and threatened his wife and two other family members with firearms. The victims were tied up and gagged while the perpetrators overwhelmed the jeweler in his apartment. Under the threat of violence, the masked men demanded the keys to the jewelry business and a black Golf 7 with Kasseler. The perpetrators left the apartment over the balcony around 8:45 p.m. The police describe the four men as about 30 to 35 years old and between 1.65 and 1.75 meters tall, with an appearance that is identified as Arabic. They were masked and dressed in dark, with at least two of them armed with pistols. The Kassel criminal police have taken over the investigation and are now looking for witnesses who have observed suspicious people or vehicles in Rothenditmold.
