Joachim Hopp was born on July 10, 1966 in Duisburg and played an important role in the club. XHopp has had a long -term career in football, both as a player and as a coach. He started his men's career in 1985 and played for MSV Duisburg, among other things, before starting his coaching career. He is known as a "real paintocher" and was very popular with the fans. Before he became a professional footballer, he worked at Thyssen at the blast furnace in Duisburg-Meiderich and was temporarily active after his player career.
