Night of the museums: Düsseldorf tower shines in artistic light!

The Düsseldorf Night of the Museums experienced an impressive rush on April 26, 2025: tens of thousands of visitors flocked into the over 50 participating cultural institutions. From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. a variety of events and attractions were offered that had something ready for every taste. Mareike Zeisig and her friends Kevin Karthausen and Laura Strosing were enthusiastic on site and were able to gain numerous experiences.

A highlight of the night was the 180-degree art projection on the Rhine Tower, staged by the artist Elena Panknin. This impressive installation under the motto "I feel Düsseldorf" combined impressive 180-degree mapping with musical accompanying artists such as Sarah Bouwers and DJ Dante T. On the viewing platform, 25 works of art by Panknin were also exhibited and limited prints of the projection artworks were to be offered, the proceeds of which were to be donated.

variety of events

The Hetjes ceramic museum offered a creative way for visitors to experiment with tattoos and print T-shirts. The event "All You Need Is Love" took place in the film museum, which offered not only guided tours, but also a speed dating, in which cinema memories were shared. Kevin found the presentations of the State Criminal Police Office, where robots were demonstrated for fingerprint analysis in bombing and the latest techniques.

The NRW forum and the Goethe Museum also offered exciting programs. While the NRW forum presented an exhibition on "Super Heroes", pop-up readings took place in the Goethe Museum. The university's house also contributed some exciting contributions to the night with space theme issues.

Interactive workshops and live performances

The interactive workshops, especially in the LKA NRW, attracted many technology and crime fans. Here the participants were able to examine fingerprints and create phantom images themselves. The tour of a historical police vehicle was also part of the program, as was the security controls at the entrance.

The Johanneskirche not only offered a place of calm, but also a combination of music, movement and art. The installation of Martin Pfififles was accompanied by Choreographies by Daniela Georgievas, who presented performances at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The night culminated in an unforgettable party mood in the clean room, where the exhibition "intermediate worlds" with its mixture of art, drinks and snacks provided the best entertainment. From midnight feat. DJS Chrispop & Millisskillz was celebrated here until the early hours of the morning.

The friend trio that enjoyed the night to the fullest plans to take part again next year and take more time for the events that they could not visit this time. The statement is clear: The Düsseldorf Night of the Museums offers an unforgettable experience that has a variety of options for both art lovers and curious people.
