Generations network in Mülheim: Together strong against isolation!
In Mülheim an der Ruhr, a project has started with the network of generations that aims to bring citizens together in district -related groups in order to promote social exchange and to exchange necessary information. The initiators have set themselves the goal of actively involved in finding the solution for local problems and bring their ideas into the city administration and the city council. This is particularly relevant because Corona pandemic has severely affected the network's activities since March 2020.
The resumption of group activities is planned for June 2022. Under the direction of Ragnhild Geck, Holly Uhlendorff and Holger Förster, the citizens should be encouraged to get involved in their districts. This also includes various hosted events that aim to bring people together.

Another highlight of the network is a photography exhibition by Volker Flecht, which documents the previous activities of the network. This will be shown in the Evangelical Laden Church at Kaiserstraße 4 until October 21st and again in January and February 2023. In addition to the exhibition, district workshops, district festivals and group offers are part of the program. The kick -off events should promote the exchange and networking with each other.
