New post office of the DRK is booming: Customers flock to the Hallplatzgalerie!

On January 4, 2025, a new post office of the German Red Cross (DRK) was opened in the Hallplatz gallery in Zweibrücken. This branch, which opened its doors four weeks ago, is already a higher influx than the previous location at the train station.

Hans Prager, Managing Director of the DRK district association Südwestpfalz, confirmed that the new location also benefits from the adjacent backshop, since the increased customer volume is advantageous for both facilities.

Details about the opening and the new location

The opening of the new post office took place on Monday at 2 p.m. and is located on the ground floor of the Hallplatzgalerie. It is located in the back where the gift shop El Presenta was previously. Lockers were already available for customers from Monday morning, while the installation of computer and telecommunications technology continued in parallel to the opening.

The old branch in the train station remains open until next Saturday to secure the company in the run -up to Christmas. The new opening times of the post office are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In addition, the kiosk from the train station also moves to the Hallplatz gallery, while the range of stationery is significantly expanded there. A copy service will also be available shortly to meet the demand for the closure of the Capito on Hallplatz. The entire staff of the previous branch was taken over to improve the infrastructure and to expand the offer for the city's citizens.
