New mayor Gernot Kuhn starts third term in Esthal!
The Esthal Mayor Gernot Kuhn was officially hired in the constituent meeting of the new municipal council on Wednesday evening. This marks the third term of Kuhn, which emphasized the importance of cohesion and the good coexistence in the local council. In the course of this session, Gabriele Kaiser was also elected as the first deputy of the municipality of Esthal. Their tasks include the division of labor for community workers and responsibility for various community buildings.
In addition, Bernd Paulig (CDU) was elected as a deputy. In the local elections on June 9, the CDU reached 52.9 percent of the vote and thus secured 9 seats in the new municipal council. The SPD followed with 27.1 percent and received 4 seats, while the Free Voter Community (FWG) received 15.2 percent and received 2 seats. The Greens reached 4.8 percent and received a seat, but have no parliamentary group status.

The new Esthal municipal council is made up of a total of 15 members. At the meeting, Michael Knoll was also adopted for his 30-year belonging in the Esthal town council. In addition, Ilona Datzer (26 years), Sandra Eisenhauer (9 years), Heide Funk (7 years), Peggy Stemmler (5 years), Patrik Wolf (4 years) and Gerd Mersinger (1 year) honors for their many years of work.
