New board in the Neustadt: SPD relies on volunteering and digitization!

On April 10, 2025, the SPD local association of the Neustadt chose a new board, as Sensor Magazin . In an extremely exciting session, Julia Wagner was confirmed as the co-chair and Lennart Lüdke as the new co-chair. The other board members are also made up of tried and tested.

The new executive board consists of Anna Keller and Alexander Klein as deputy chair, Nicolas Wenzel as cashier and Joschka Cheeky as secretary. In addition, Rainer Christ, Erik Donner, Dr. Jens Gnau, Anna Höfkes, Thea Laubis, Egzon Maliqi, Johannes Ricard, Franziska Schmitt, Gerardo Unger Lafourcade and Yvonne Wuttke elected as assessors. In the election, the old board said goodbye to the previous members Achim Heidenreich, Lukas Bußmann, Esther Höfler, Joachim Schulte and Andreas Winheller.

With over 300 members, the SPD local association Neustadt is the largest in the Mainz SPD sub-district and in the region. The board plans to determine contact persons for new members as well as working groups and public relations. In addition, one wants to focus more on social media work. The new town shop on Lessingplatz is already open to various voluntary activities, which indicates an active commitment of the members.

The members regularly participate in events, such as the dirt path day of the city of Mainz. A public event is also planned: A tour of birds on April 26th will take place under the direction of Gerardo Unger Lafourcade.
