New E-cargo bike for Offenbach: Ecological transport for the citizens!
In Offenbach, the environmentally friendly transport is funded with a new e-cargo bike. Josias Bergmann, cargo bike sponsor of the VCD, and the neighborhood managers Jessica Teschke and Katrin Weimann today presented the youngest model in the Senefelderquartier district office. This initiative has been supported by the Office for the Environment and Climate of the City of Offenbach for four years in cooperation with the regional group Rhein-Main of the traffic club Germany (VCD). The e-cargo bikes are available free of charge, a service that has now been expanded by another cargo bike due to the high demand.
With the new wheel, the number of e-cargo bikes provided increases to a total of seven, which are available at six different rental stations in Offenbach. The latest model can now be borrowed directly from the Senefelderquartier district office. The opening times of the office are versatile, which ensures simple accessibility:

The booking and collection of the e-cargo bikes takes place conveniently via the platform www.main-lastenrad.de . Further information on the rental process is available on www.offenbach.de/lastenrad . This initiative aims to offer environmentally friendly transport options for weekly purchases and other loads.
The Office for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection of the city of Offenbach has been providing four e-cargo bikes for more than two years. With today's expansion at the Edeka Center on Mühlheimer Strasse, high demand is taken into account. The e-cargo wheel, which was previously offered on Karlstrasse, enables expensive cargo bikes to try out without having to wear the financial burden on a purchase.
In a larger context, interest in cargo bikes has increased in recent years. According to the project "I relieve cities", a program that is funded by the national climate protection initiative, over 750 companies and institutions took part. This initative shows that cargo bikes as sustainable mobility alternative are becoming increasingly important.
