promotion of German cinema
In addition to these local initiatives, ffa , the national film support institution in Germany, plays a crucial role in supporting the film industry. The FFA acts as a central service structure and regularly works with other European funding institutions. Their goal is to promote the development of cross-border projects and co-productions.
The funding includes various areas such as feature films in all production phases, screenplay funding and in particular also short film funding. In order to receive funding, applications must be submitted online via the FFA website, and relevant committee cases up to eight times a year, decisions about the applications received.
These events and support programs impressively show how diverse the film culture in Germany is and how important it is to promote new talents. This effort not only supports the commitment to good films, but also creates a platform for creative expression that appeals to all age groups.
