New year inspires children: Dance project ensures cheers in Gütersloh!
On February 11, 2025, a happy New Year's party was celebrated in the Weserstrasse city day care center. The event offered a colorful program, the game and handicrafts and a buffet with international delicacies, prepared by the parents. A total of 17 children aged five to six years took part in the dance project. The funding was carried out by the Inner Wheel Club Gütersloh , who is actively involved in social projects in the field of children and young people. The experienced dance teacher Finja Hanewinkel from the Stüwe-Weissenberg dance school took over the instructions. The children learned two choreographies and presented them with great enthusiasm.

The demonstration created a exuberant mood, especially the rap "Party in the Zoo" inspired both the children and the audience. After the lively performance, the spectators spontaneously demanded an encore that the children joyfully gave. Among the spectators, Dr. Martina Schwartz-Gehring and Maria Unger, who were present as representatives of the Inner Wheel Club.
This friendly cooperation and the social use of the Inner Wheel Club strengthen the community in Gütersloh. The monthly meetings in the club restaurant offer space for lectures and the exchange on social topics, whereby the focus is on supporting projects for children and adolescents. The most important social project of the club, "Language connects", is carried out in cooperation with the Rotary Club Gütersloh and Rheda-Wiedenbrück in order to support children in particular.
