Defeat for U19 of TSV 1860: Althaus meets, but Gladbach wins!
On March 16, 2025, the U19 of TSV 1860 Munich had to accept an unfortunate 1-2 defeat against the U19 of Borussia Mönchengladbach. The game, which took place as part of the DFB youth league in the main round Liga A, Group B, moved around 200 spectators to Grünwalder Straße 114. Referee Lauritz-Philipe Hafner from Nagold headed the game. The TSV 1860 now has four defeats in a row and is only three points in the sixth and last place in the table.
The Munich residents performed committedly, but were rarely able to develop dangerous offensive actions. Samuel Althaus brought the lions in the 58th minute after a pass from Roithmayr 1-0. But the lead did not last long. Within a few minutes, the Gladbacher equalized through Nico Vidic in the 67th minute and even took the lead 2-1 in the 71st minute by Sulo Ketola. This was the most unfavorable time for the lions, who have to wait for the first win in this main round after seven games. The detailed game analysis shows that the U19 from 1860 often missed the necessary punch in front of the opposing goal.
constellations and the course of the game
The list of the U19 of TSV 1860 Munich was as follows: Dunker in the goal, followed by Lippmann, Faßmann, Fodor and Fuchs in defense. Dursun, Althaus and Tekin acted in midfield, while Roithmayr, Plöttner and Pereira de Azambuja were on the offensive. The substitutions took place in the second half, with Grancay, Genidis, Hohmann, Fiedler and Schurz into play.
In the first half, the game experienced numerous chances on both sides, but none of the teams could accommodate the ball in the goal. Several shots on goal from 1860, including a header from Althaus, either found their way over the goal or were kept safe by Gladbach's keeper Gutaj. The first goal was only scored in the second half, as Althaus, as already mentioned, scored after a nice pass from Roithmayr.
U17 cheers for further victory
The goal shooters for the U17 were Valentin Bannert, Loris Husic, Efe Karakoc, Sami Kenzeddine, Fabian Rothermel and Xaver Lippmann, who scored the last goal in the 89th minute. The list of the U17 included Duru in the goal as well as Osmani, Arnits, Curic and Lacic in Defense and Husic, Lippmann and Sturm in midfield. Overall, there is a split picture for the teams of TSV 1860 Munich. While the U17 rides on a wave of success, the U19 remains in the main round in search of the first victory, which makes the upcoming training and games all the more important.
