Pressure on Aue: Härtel has to get the first victory against Aachen!
The FC Erzgebirge Aue is under pressure. After a disappointing start to the second half of the 3rd division, in which the team was only able to win one point in three games, the pressure on the new team of coaching around Jens Härtel becomes increasingly noticeable. The coach, who started his position in January 2025, will be demanding a victory against Alemannia Aachen next Sunday to celebrate the first success under his leadership. "We have to pull the momentum onto our side and take the lead," emphasizes Härtel, whose team is currently fighting two failures.
In the first half of the season, Aue initially showed a strong performance and won four wins from the first four games. However, this positive dynamic seems to have been lost. Aue threatens a false start to the second half of the season, which is now a decisive challenge for Härtel. Despite the previous failures, the trainer believes that all three previous games could have run in Aue's direction. "We felt a lot of train in the last training sessions," he notes.
Alemannia Aachen as a challenge
The next task, Alemannia Aachen, is considered one of the best pressing teams in the league. Härtel expects the guests to start up, which can be dangerous for Aue. "In the Sachsenenderby, however, we showed how we can undermine high -standing teams," explains Härtel and underlines the need to develop the possession phases in order to be successful.
Jens Härtel follows Pavel Dotchev, who was released almost a week and a half ago after confidence in his work was waned and tensions performed in the club. The new trainer comes with a gathered experience from previous trainer stations, including at Eintracht Braunschweig and Hansa Rostock, where he did persuasion. The longest term of office of a Hansa trainer after the turnaround with 1397 days that Härtel spent there is particularly remarkable.
Sports Managing Director Matthias Heidrich praised Härtel's expertise and his positive attitude to the new challenge. The new trainer will take over the existing team of coaches around interim coach Jörg Emmerich and will not bring new assistants. "I have great confidence in the quality of the team," said Härtel about his team, which now has to focus on the upcoming games.
The fans hope for a trend reversal and a successful appearance against Alemannia Aachen to celebrate the first victory in the second half of the season and to free themselves from the currently tense table area. Further start -up difficulties are certainly out of the question for the association - the time is.
