Cinema event: Literature meets film in the Apollo cinema Aachen!
The Apollo cinema in Aachen starts a new film series under the title "From Literature to Film". This series aims to examine the differences between literary templates and their cinematic implementations. The events are made by Sven Ollig, the theater director of Apollo Kinos, and Dr. Nina Janz, a research assistant at RWTH Aachen. The Aachener Zeitung reports that the Backhaus bookstore is actively involved in the series.
The inspiration for this film series came from a similar event in an art house cinema in Leipzig. The program is aimed at the local audience and aims to win new spectators. There are literature adaptations from different genres and epochs at regular intervals.
