The 17th season of the 3rd football league began on August 2, 2024 with the opening game between TSV 1860 Munich and 1st FC Saarbrücken. The season comprises a total of 38 game days and ends with the last matchday on May 17, 2025. This season 20 teams are involved, which will play a total of 380 games. The league changed in the new season: Alemannia Aachen has climbed from the Regionalliga West, while SSV Ulm relegated in 1846 and is no longer represented in the 3rd division.
