In Beverau, a neighborhood festival is organized between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., organized by the city of Aachen and the "Gut! Branderhof" association. On this occasion, part of the new neighborhood center is opened, and here too there are music, finger food and drinks on the program.

integrated urban development concept (ISEK)
In parallel to these events, an outdoor exhibition of the integrated urban development concept (ISEK) will take place in Haaren. In the second half of May, this offers an overview of projects that have already been realized and implemented. The exhibition can be found on the southern side of the St. Germanus church. ISEK describes goals, fields of action and projects on urban development over several years. It is developed in cooperation with urban institutions and focuses on citizen participation during the process. A specialized planning office supports this development process, and the ISEK serves as the basis for applying for funding from urban development. The federal urban development funding, which has been active for over 50 years, provides a total of 790 million euros for various funding programs for 2024. These programs aim to strengthen inner cities, to stabilize socially disadvantaged quarters and to create sustainable urban structures. The implementation of climate protection measures has also been a prerequisite for funding in all programs since 2020. The projects of urban development funding, such as the program "Future -capable inner cities and centers", support the development of inner cities with up to 250 million euros and offer cities and municipalities the opportunity to react to national and international challenges.
Overall, the upcoming events in Aachen and the measures to promote urban development show the striving for the city to promote sustainable and citizen -friendly urban development.
