On Friday morning, January 3, 2025, a dangerous incident occurred in Paderborn-Schloß Neuhaus when a 38-year-old man from Hövelhof crossed a level crossing despite closed barriers. A regional train that was traveling from Bielefeld to Paderborn had to initiate an emergency braking to avoid a collision.
The alcohol -minded man was touched on the side of the train, but was not injured. Fortunately, the 25 passengers who were on the train at the time were not endangered by the emergency braking.
