Decathlon opens new branches in Bochum and Recklinghausen!

Decathlon expands its presence in North Rhine-Westphalia and is planning to open two new shops in spring 2025. The new branches are located in Bochum and Recklinghausen. These measures are part of the company's expansion strategy, which aims to open a total of 150 locations in Germany by 2027. The Bochum branch will be created in Westfield Ruhr Park, the largest open-air shopping center in Germany. The store will extend over more than 1,000 square meters and is strategically cheap, only 10 minutes away from the city center. Neighboring shops will be Maison's du Monde and Böhmer shoes. The new branch in the Palais Vest is opened in Recklinghausen, which offers around 100 shops on a sales area of ​​45,600 square meters. The new Decathlon store will be next to Smyths Toys and also take an area of ​​around 1,000 square meters. These locations are supposed to create around 50 new jobs in the region, informed Wa.de reported.
