Gasthof Röttgen: Visit a new event restaurant with a wide range of offers!

The operators of the Röttgen inn in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Sabine and Andreas Rogawski have signed a new lease by December 2025. In the future, they will no longer be active in the day -to -day business, but will continue to run the inn as an event restaurant. The couple took over the popular inn, known from the "Murder with View" series, at the end of 2019 by Klaus and Jutta Haas, who wanted to stop due to age. The inn is still for sale for 598,000 euros.

Sabine Rogawski, passionate landlady, and Andreas Rogawski, who specializes in preparing the dishes, have decided not to extend the lease beyond 2024. The reason for this are changes in the employee structure, in particular the termination of an additional cook in the summer of 2024. In order to have more free time and still maintaining the company, you plan to be active as an event restaurant and not to stand in the kitchen every day. The inn remains open on public holidays and offers special events such as traditional fish meals on Ash Wednesday.

planned events and overnight stays

The Rogawskis have already planned several events, including the after-Zoch party on Carnival Camp and a goose meal in November. In addition, the 60th jazz session takes place on February 6, 2025. Double rooms are offered for 95 euros per night, but only in connection with events.

The guests of the inn come from different regions and countries, including Gran Canaria, Great Britain, Hamburg, Duisburg, Essen and Bochum. The high capacity utilization of the room testifies to the popularity of the restaurant. According to reports, a large majority of guests, about 85 percent, is regular customers, and the inn is regularly used for various events such as birthday parties and club meetings.

The Gasthof Röttgen has had to overcome numerous challenges in the past, including the economic effects of the first Corona Lockdown in March 2020. To keep the employees, the Rogawskis offered a delivery service and opened a beer garden in summer, which contributed to the financial stability of the company. The Rogawskis originally considered buying the inn, but their family showed no interest in continuing. Now a broker has been switched on to promote the sale of the house.
