From February 3 to 7, 2025, a * themed week of professional and study orientation * takes place at the Carl Reuther vocational college. This event is again offered due to the positive response from the previous year. The diverse program is essentially aimed at the students of the full -time classes and includes various activities to support the professional orientation process.

In the offers, information events, company and university visits as well as hands-on activities that offer regional companies a platform can be found. A central element of the themed week is the apprenticeship exchange on February 7, 2025, which will be held in the school as ahead of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To this end, applications for internships and training positions can be handed over directly to speakers and exhibitors, which gives the students valuable contacts with potential employers.

A valuable addition to events such as the themed week are the nationwide professional information centers (biz) . These facilities, mostly part of an employment agency, offer students useful information on career choice, including regional job offers and training paths. Among other things, BIZ provide special computer workstations where application documents can be created and certificates can be scanned.

In addition, events such as professional fairs and application training take place regularly in these centers, which prepare the participants for starting their professional life. They make an important contribution to individual professional orientation, which is of great importance in the current training landscape.

In the context of professional orientation, the initiative * education chains * was launched in 2010. This initiative, which is supported by the BMBF, BMAS and other partners, aims to accompany young people during the transition to their professional life and to counteract the shortage of skilled workers.
