Slowing ensures chaos: several accidents in the Rhein-Sieg district!

On Sunday, December 29, the smoothness on the streets in the Rhein-Sieg district led to several traffic accidents. According to police reports, there were only sheet damage, but no injuries. On the federal road 478 in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, a 29-year-old Bonner had an accident with his VW Polo around 11:30 a.m. The driver, who came from Ruppichteroth and was heading towards Hennef, slipped in a left turn behind Ingersauermühle. His vehicle hurled over the road and stayed on the passenger side. The driver was able to free himself from the vehicle, his car was towed, which led to considerable traffic jams. The German Weather Service warned until Monday morning, December 30th, of persistent smoothness on the streets, as KStA.de reported.

The weather conditions also caused further problems in the Rhein-Sieg district. On Sunday evening and on the night of Monday, snowfall led to traffic jams and stagnant traffic in Bonn and the surrounding area. There were delays in particular on the A565, A555 and A59 motorways. On Monday morning, a fatal accident occurred on the B478 between Ruppichteroth and Schönenberg. A 26-year-old woman from Waldbröl overtook a truck, got into skidding when he was rejected, crashed into a tree and was trapped. The fire brigade was able to free the driver who was reanimated in the ambulance, but died at the scene of the accident. The B478 was completely blocked from Bröleck to Ruppichteroth, which led to long traffic jams. Between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, a total of nine traffic accidents were built in the Rhein-Sieg district, which were probably due to the weather. Most of the time it was sheet metal damage, but two drivers suffered minor injuries on Sunday evening. There were also several wheel accidents in Bonn due to smooth surfaces. The Stadtwerke Bonn also reported on the course disorder at the Bonn district court, which led to delays on lines 61, 62 and 66, but was not in terms of weather. Small impairments in bus traffic were also due to snow and smoothness, as GA.de reported.
