VDR: Important innovations for restorers in the coming year!
On February 17, 2025, the Presidium of the Association of the restorers in Bonn for a decisive strategy session. The focus of the discussion was the upcoming Bundestag election and contacting the newly elected MPs. At the same time, it was recognized that many members cannot take part regularly for financial and time reasons. In order to counteract this, the Presidium plans new content -related elements, formats and time windows that enable inexpensive participation.

To develop the new ideas and formats, a collection of ideas will be discussed in the upcoming board meetings. In addition, the publication of the "Kulturgut operational manual" for November 2024 is planned, with a desire for the content of the content of additional material groups for a possible second edition. Another central point is the exchange with the bodies of the VDR, the European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers Organizations (E.C.C.O.), universities and the youngsters to do adaptations in the articles of association. A (re) evaluation of the membership status of restorers with a first job-effective degree (B.A./B.SC.) Is planned. With regard to the new professional requirements, the VDR wants to adapt to the changes in the job profile "Restaurer: in".
