False alarms in Bocholt: Fire brigade in continuous use without a risk of fire!
On Friday, March 7, 2025, the fire brigade and the emergency services of the city of Bocholt were again heavily challenged. From 11:20 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., they were confronted with several missions, but all were classified as false alarms. These were not associated with greater damage
The night started with an alarm in the industrial park, where a company's automatic fire alarm system reacted. It turned out on site that extensive cleaning work had triggered the alarm. Just a short time later, the fire alarm system struck again, also without the presence of a fire. The third assignment, which took place around 3:15 a.m., applied to a commercial complex at the Westend. In this, the automatic fire alarm system was activated by a triggered destruction system, which also did not lead to a fire. The premises had to be ventilated, which extended the operation to about an hour, such as bocholt.de added.
additional missions on the same day
On the same day, the emergency services were also called for a traffic accident on the city limits between Rhede and Bocholt. Two people suffered minor injuries and were immediately transported to the St. Agnes Hospital by the emergency services. In addition, there was a major fire in Borken, in which the organizational director of the emergency services of the Borken district, which was provided by the Bocholt fire brigade, was alerted. Fortunately, the people concerned were quickly taken care of, so that a hospital stay was not necessary.
