Greens in Borken: Strong team chosen for the 2025 local elections!
On April 7, 2025, the members of Bündnis 90/The Greens elected their candidates for the local elections next September. The local meeting took place under the direction of Michael Burian, the chairman of the local association. The formal part of the election was taken over by Jens Steiner, the chairman of the Borken district association. Steiner is also the district candidate of the Greens for the district of Borken.

In a similar context, the Greens report in Grevenbroich that they have also reorganized themselves. Peter Gehrmann and Renate Steiner were chosen as new double leadership, such as Gruene-gv.de . These new elections took place on Monday evening during a general meeting. In addition to Gehrmann and Steiner, the new board also includes Gerhard Kath as treasurer and Lily Poßberg as secretary.
The Greens in Grevenbroich were also able to occupy all constituencies for the local elections in autumn, with a focus on strong green politics and the integration of environmental and climate degrees into the municipal agenda. The list is led by Renate Steiner and Peter Gehrmann, followed by Rebecca Borgwardt, Dirk Schimanski, Marion Knauer and Hendrik Poßberg.
Developments in Bocholt and Grevenbroich show the continued commitment of the Greens in North Rhine-Westphalia, strong and future-oriented candidates in order to significantly shape politics on site. These efforts will certainly lead to a lively election campaign.
