Bottrop pub night 2025: A festival of music and good mood!

On March 24, 2025, the Bottrop city center experienced a musical flood when hundreds of visitors flocked to the Bottrop piping night. The event lured with a multifaceted range of live music at 14 venues that were available at short notice, instead of the originally planned 1:00 p.m. at 6 p.m. the band "Moodish" opened the evening event in the Kulturkirche Heilig Kreuz.

The mood was exuberant when the visitors moved from bar to bar. The “Bottroper Bier”, which was enjoyed at Gladbecker Strasse 5 together with a sing -along concert, was particularly popular. A highlight was the "old stock exchange", which became a crowd puller, so that an entry stop had to be imposed on 190 guests. To see the cover band Amy’s, visitors had to come early or wait.

The restaurant "Shortly before the cinema" in the film forum offered a sociable ambience and live music in the cinema. The high number of visitors to other locations led to waiting times, but the general atmosphere was characterized by enthusiasm. Simone Ruhrberg, co-organizer from IG Rathausviertel e.V., was satisfied with the positive mood that the Bottrop gastronomy and music mile radiated until late in the evening. The event offered an extensive musical selection and delighted a broad target group.

The next pub night in Bottrop is already being planned. The organizers have announced that they want to have further surprises ready for autumn. Based on previous events, participants also found the opportunity to look forward to new musical acts.

The Bottrop piping night is a tradition that was revived after a four -year break on November 4, 2023. During these events, visitors were able to enjoy a colorful musical program that was aimed at various tastes. There was something for everyone from radio and soul to rock to singer/songwriter styles.

As part of the 20th anniversary, which was celebrated on November 9, 2024, Bottrop was again able to present the diverse talent of local artists. The event will continue to be supported by sponsors such as the United Volksbank and the private brewery Jacob Stauder in the future.

With an admission price of 15 euros in advance and 18 euros at the box office, the organizers gave access to all participating pubs and music events. In the ticket agencies, such as the Humboldt Bookstore and the Music Forum, the anticipation for the next events was noticeable.

Overall, the Bottrop piping night was a complete success that combined both old traditions and new ideas, in the spirit of celebrating and making music together.
