Heart of heart in the Bottrop Hospiz: donations and Christmas joy for free!
On December 20, the allotment garden association Beckramsberg e.V. handed over a total of around 20 Christmas bags to the team and the residents of the Bottrop Hospices. The campaign, which was led by chairman Reiner Friesz and garden consultant Mike Maurmann, had the goal of bringing joy to Christmas time and appreciating the valuable work of the employees. In addition to the Christmas bags, a donation of money of 200 euros was donated. In the future, the association plans to intensify contact with the hospice and invite employees to the upcoming club festivals.
During the handover, hospice manager Christoph Voegelin expressed the desire to present the facility at the next general meeting in March. In addition, Mike Maurmann offered to organize grill dates for the hospice team in the new year, which emphasized the importance of supporters for the best possible care of incurable ill and dying guests.fundraising campaign for the Bottrop Hospiz
In parallel to this campaign, there was another donation initiative in the Bottrop Cathedral. Irini Hubert set up a small fountain that was filled with coins by regular guests, in the spirit of the famous Trevi fountain in Rome. The collected coins led to an important fundraising campaign, which brought a total of 1,070 euros for the Bottrop Hospice. Hubert and the hospice team were pleased with the proceeds. The fundraising campaign continues in the winter months, although the water is drained from the fountain. For more details on the fundraising campaign to the Bottrop Hospiz you can report the reports from Bottroper Zeitung and Hospiz bottrop Read.
