Kirchhellen celebrates: on the may festival with fun and attractions!

From 2nd to May 4, 2025, Johann-Breuker-Platz in Kirchhellen is transformed into a festival of encounters and cultural highlights. The Kirchhellen advertising community invites you to a varied program for the may festival, which is under the motto "Local’s First". This event is organized by Kirchhellern for Kirchhellener and is intended to strengthen and celebrate the local community.

A special highlight of the festival is the live music, which is performed by the cover band "Amy’s" and other artists. There is also the possibility to book helicopter flights over Kirchhellen, which can be booked with 65 euros and can be reserved both online and on site. Another highlight is the children's disco, which contributes to the pleasure of the youngest on Saturday afternoon.

The stage program starts on Friday, May 2, at 4:30 p.m. with the official opening of the May Festival. Afterwards the dance group TC Harmonie will appear, followed by DJ Felix Mues, who not only creates atmosphere on Friday afternoon, but also in the evening. The end of Friday evening is the performance of Sarah Stefanski at 7:30 p.m.

The Saturday, May 3, opens with a music project called "Together Art". This is followed by the preliminary round of the "Kirchhellen Duel", an exciting family duel with questions about the region. After the children's disco and the appearance of Amy’s in the evening, the program for the last day of the festival, May 4th, is already being prepared.

Sunday starts at 11:00 a.m. with a morning pint and the "Kirchhellener Blasmusik", followed by a talks with prominent guests. For shopping fans, Sunday until 6:00 p.m., Sunday is an absolute must, especially before the upcoming Mother's Day. An autograph session with Norbert Heisterkamp also takes place as a special highlight. A magic show takes care of the entertainment of the whole family and the musical finale forms Elias Mutz at 5:00 p.m.

Culinary diversity and children's program

The gastronomic offers of the may festival are as diverse as the musical program. Regional treats such as burgers, fries, various types of sausages, pasta and asparagus dishes are offered. Sweet sweets such as crepes as well as a selection of wines and Maibowle complete the culinary experience.

For young visitors there is an extensive children's program with bouncy castle, face painting and handicrafts.
