New club in Bottrop: Open table for the needy starts!

The "Open Table Bottrop e.V." has been constituted as a registered association over the turn of the year and strives to supply the needy in the city. The first step in this direction took place on Monday, March 17th, when the first general meeting was called. At this meeting, Janine Schramm, Jacqueline Schymczyk, was elected as deputy and Wolfgang Schramm as other board members. Simone Lehmann was appointed managing director, while Hannah Wozniak and Jörg Allgaier act as auditors.

From April 1st, the open table Bottrop will offer warm meals for the needy on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The meeting point for meals is the former parish hall of Jesus in the Bottrop city center. This initiative replaces the existing offer from "Kolüsch", which has been in need for people in need for 31 years at noon. In addition to meals, the association also offers a space for social contact and exchange to counteract loneliness.
