New fire -fighting guide and honors: Davensberg fire brigade looks back!
In 2024, the Davensberg fire truck recorded a total of 45 missions to the Ascheberg volunteer fire brigade. These included various areas of activity, such as fire fighting, life rescue, accident aid and operations in ABC danger situations. The tendency of the operations is slightly declining compared to the previous year. In total, all fire trucks drove 193 times to various missions.
At the latest general assembly, which took place in the Eickholt restaurant, Niklas Pieper was appointed the new fire truck leader. He takes over the responsibility of Ulrich Gövert, who was ceremoniously adopted. Together with Markus Budnik, Pieper now leads the fire truck. Various promotions were also given in a solemn setting. Simon Schulze-Wermeling were promoted to the firefighter, Daniel Grube to the chief firefighter and Nils Weber, Moritz Pieper and Madita Koch. Lars Bäumker is now a fire champion and Matthias Dörrbecker has been appointed chief fire chief. Ulrich Gövert received the appointment as a municipal fire inspector.

In addition, several members were honored for their long -term loyalty. Dirk Koch was recognized for 35 years, Christoph Perdun for 50 years of membership. Christian Roberg, after 43 years of active membership, was adopted to the honorary department. The Ascheberg volunteer fire brigade attaches great importance to team spirit and camaraderie and consists of members of all ages and origin.
The fire brigade's tasks are diverse. They range from technical assistance in traffic accidents to fire fighting in various areas, including wagon fires, surface fires and fires in buildings, industry and agriculture. Firefighters are also available to provide support for storm damage, animal rescues and oil damage. The area of application includes the entire municipality, including three localities and a section of the A1 motorway between Münster-Hiltrup and Werne.
Members of the fire brigade receive comprehensive training in fire brigade issues in both theory and practice. Regular exercises prepare you optimally for your missions. The Ascheberg volunteer fire brigade invites team players to help others and want to make their free time meaningfully, and at the same time emphasizes the fun and camaraderie that arise during the joint activities.
