Low German theater enthusiastic: Himmel IK thanks Di celebrates its premiere!

On January 12, 2025, the Kolping Spielechar celebrated the premiere of its new Low German play "Himmel IK thanks Di" in the parish. Christiane Krampe-Höring, the director, emphasized before the performance that there is anything but calm in the rectory. The spectators can look forward to a humorous performance, which will make many warm laughs. Main character Hermione, embodied by Mechthild Mehring, begins to clean up the day, even if she often has to shake her head over the event in the rectory.

The piece gives the viewers an insight into the turbulent events around Pastor Alfons Teufel, who desperately tries to collect money for the renovation of the church. He uses unorthodox methods such as card games and schnapps distillery. The sexton Johannes Höll, supported by his wife Emma, is also involved in the chaotic plans. Hermione, the rectory, strives to support the pastor in his efforts. The events escalate when a strict bishop unexpectedly appears and Hermione is forced to juggle stories to protect the pastor.
